David Darwin is a marriage and family therapist specializing in individual, couple, and family therapy. He lives and maintains a private practice in Kamloops, British Columbia. He is married and the father of three teenage boys.
With over twenty years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a graduate of McGill University, he is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients, in both English and French.
David is trained in a wide variety of counselling theories and methods--cognitive behavioural, Satir transformational, EMDR, solution-focused, neuro-psychological, Gottman, and emotionally focused therapy--and so is able to tailor his approach to best meet clients' needs.
In addition to being an experienced relationship therapist, David has presented at regional conferences and to general audiences speaking on a wide range of topics, including: managing anxiety and depression; sleep enhancement; stress management; assertiveness training; conflict management; relationship building; boundaries; and other mental health topics.
David is an interactive, solution-focused therapist whose goal is to help clients effectively address personal life challenges by providing support and practical feedback. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach. He is well known for his ability to connect with people in a genuine manner.
