Please Note: All sessions are 60 minutes in length, with the final 10 minutes of each session reserved for note-taking. Rates reflect the recommendations of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and do not include GST.
Coverage
Counselling costs may be covered by individuals, extended medical plans (Blue Cross, Great West Life), ICBC, Victim Services, or other sources. Method of payment will be established during the initial consultation. Perspectives Counselling does not direct-bill insurance providers; clients will receive detailed receipts for sessions, which they can submit to their respective extended health plans.
Bookings
New clients may schedule appointments directly with David or Cindy via email or text (see green box for contact info). Their current clients are asked to rebook using the online calendar here. All clients are encouraged to book a few sessions in advance, following the initial assessment, in order to guarantee preferred appointment times and counsellor availability. Please note: David's practice is currently full and closed to couples; he has very limited spaces for new individual clients, and the wait between sessions may be lengthy. Cindy's practice occasionally opens to new individual clients. Please contact her by text or email to request an initial appointment.
Payment
E-Transfer, Visa, and Mastercard are preferred methods of payment, and all payments are due on the day of service.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. If you miss a session due to developing flu-like symptoms, you will not be charged.
Reduced Fees
Reduced fees for therapy sessions, workshops, and groups are available on a limited basis, and provided at the discretion of individual counsellors.
